I am a recent graduate of Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Arts in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, with a Major in Advertising and Public Relations. My emphasis is Public Relations, with interests in creative design, media relations, social media management, corporate communications, digital marketing, event planning, and influencer marketing.

My industries of interest include music, entertainment, tourism, fashion, beauty, and the food/beverage industry - however I am always interested in expanding my experience in other areas!

During my sophomore year at Grand Valley State University, my Fundamentals of Public Relations course encouraged me to write blogs not only related to PR, but about topics I’m passionate about as well. In 2022, TikTok was tremendously impacting the music industry, and was impacting the artists who were touring as well. It was an interesting time in both music and media, resulting in my deep dive into the world of music TikTok. Looking towards TikTok now, it’s interesting how these same trends continue and progress.

The Music Lover In Me...

As a Music Fanatic…

As mentioned in my interests above, l have a deep passion for music, the music industry, and the artistry that goes behind it all. Music has always been a huge part of my life; from growing up playing instruments (not to toot my own horn, but I did receive the John Phillip Sousa Award in high school), attending numerous concerts and festivals, coming from a family of musicians, and simply surrounding myself with likeminded music lovers – it’s in everything I do! Coming full-circle with my current profession and personal interests, I started combining the two by designing poster art with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop featuring my favorite artists, friends’ favorite artists, and even a local artist in the Grand Rapids area. Despite this being a hobby, I’m quite proud of my work, and wanted to showcase my creativity both inside and outside of my professional journey.
